Literature Text

cancer holds me close at night,
wrapped within a celestial warmth

of blood that gleams red in the light,
you're bleeding, get yourself a cloth

hold me close and steal my breath
straight, from, my, mouth.

take it inside of your self,
the stench of death,
your senses will cloud.

breathe me in,
just like a disease,
i'm the newest cancer,
pretty in chemo, please
and this new form of death,
comes packaged, wrapped in a bow.
i crawl inside of your veins,
before you even know.

you'll feel it in your heart,
for it's the first to go.

trapped within a vein
with nowhere else to go.

bleeding, pounding,
pulses sounding.

the machines beep endlessly,
controlling you mindlessly

and with a cloth over your face,
you'll suck me in,

a demon of science,
just below your skin.

breathe me in,
just like a disease,
i'm the newest cancer,
pretty in chemo, please
and this new form of death,
comes packaged, wrapped in a bow.
i crawl inside of your veins,
before you even know.

this rose upon my wrist
means more than you will know.

and every time i kill you
the vine will grow.

add another bud each time your heart stops,
and i'll throttle it, until it pops.

you are dead to me.

there is nothing left.

i am dead to me.

death is your gift.

breathe death in,
just like a summer breeze,
i'm the newest kind of cancer,
pretty in chemo-therapy
and this new form of hell,
comes wrapped in a beautiful bow.
i crawl inside of your heart,
the place in your chest,
black as a hole.
